The primary focus of the United We Ride program is to assist and nurture states and localities in the coordination of human service transportation. Coordination makes efficient use of limited transportation resources by avoiding duplication caused by overlapping individual program efforts and encouraging the use and sharing of existing community resources. To promote the efforts of the United We Ride program, Planners Collaborative developed materials around this concept to aid providers in taking steps to help make coordination happen. Planners Collaborative devised the “One Vision One Call” campaign slogan, which was adopted by the Federal Interagency Coordinating Council on Access and Mobility.
