Transit agencies are always searching for new ways to provide paratransit services more effectively. Through this research synthesis effort, Planners Collaborative conducted an extensive survey of transit agencies across the country to determine experimental and successfully-instituted policies and practices and followed-up with selected agencies for more detailed information. Armed with that data and a review of previously published literature, Planners Collaborative developed case studies highlighting innovative practices and produced a comprehensive synthesis report.
