In 2005, the Commonwealth of Massachusetts began to develop a multi-modal transportation plan to define goals and set proper priorities for the period following construction of the Central Artery/Tunnel Project. Planners Collaborative staff provided technical, public outreach, and logistical support to the development of the Long Range Plan to the Office of Transportation Planning. These efforts initially focused on the interface with the 20-member Advisory Committee made up of public agencies, advocacy groups and the representatives of various business interests. Additional efforts included prioritizing the panel’s comments and translating more than 1,400 comments into improvements in the state plan.
